Job summary

HWLE Lawyers in Sydney seeks a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our Workplace Relations and Safety team. The role involves advising a broad range of clients, including government and corporates, across contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience across contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Broad experience providing advice on employment and safety matters.
• Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Proven record of building relationships with clients, taking the lead on matters and working cooperatively with juniors.
• Genuine appetite to help grow the practice.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and advise clients on workplace relations and safety issues across public and private sectors.
• Lead matters from strategy through to resolution, coordinating with internal teams.
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, and contribute to business development initiatives.
