Job summary

DFP Recruitment is looking for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their esteemed Workplace and Employment Law team in Adelaide. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of employment and industrial relations matters and deliver high-quality legal advice.

You will have a minimum of 3 years of post-admission experience in Employment Law, strong drafting abilities, and excellent communication skills. This role offers an inclusive team environment and opportunities for career progression.

Job description

DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a highly regarded Workplace and Employment Law team in Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload of employment, industrial relations and workers' compensation matters
  • Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice to clients
  • Draft correspondence, legal documents, submissions and employment‑related agreements
  • Conduct legal research and analyse complex legislative and regulatory issues
  • Represent and advocate for clients in employment‑related matters where required
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Assist with mentoring and supervising junior lawyers and support staff
  • Contribute to business development, networking and professional profile‑building activities
  • Ensure effective file management, risk management and compliance practices
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Minimum 3 years' post‑admission experience in Employment Law, Industrial Relations and/or Workers' Compensation
  • Strong technical legal knowledge and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Excellent drafting, research and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A proactive and solutions‑focused approach to legal practice
  • Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members will be highly regarded
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes
