Job summary

Montgomery Advisory is seeking a Senior Associate to join its National Commercial Law Firm client’s corporate team in Australia. You will work with a highly reputable Partner on a broad range of corporate, private capital and transactional matters, gaining direct client exposure and meaningful responsibility across a national platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PAE in corporate law, M&A, or capital markets with a well-regarded firm.
• Strong drafting, advocacy, and analytical skills.
• Commercial mindset with a practical approach to problem solving.
• Experience managing or assisting on complex disputes with expertise in relevant legislation and policy.
• Confident working in a lean team with ownership of matters and strategy input.
• Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable in a high-performance environment.

Responsibilities

• Advising on private capital, investment and structuring matters.
• Running and assisting on private M&A and corporate transactions.
• Drafting and negotiating transaction documents, shareholder arrangements and related agreements.
• Advising on capital raisings and broader corporate finance matters.
• Working directly with clients on transaction strategy and execution.
• Supporting cross-border matters involving international clients and advisers.
