Job summary

Brown & Chase Executive Search | Horton International is seeking a Senior Associate in Planning & Environment Law in Sydney. You will manage a diverse advisory and court-facing workload, mentoring junior lawyers while engaging directly with clients and leading matters.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years' post-admission experience, deep NSW planning and environmental law knowledge, and a proven ability to contribute to firm growth and precedents.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–8 years' post-admission experience.
• Strong knowledge of NSW planning and environment legislation and procedures.
• Experience appearing in the NSW Land and Environment Court.
• Well-developed drafting, advocacy and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of advisory and contentious matters.
• Instruct counsel and represent clients at hearings and conferences.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to client development.
