Job summary

CMW Geosciences is opening a new office on the Sunshine Coast and seeks experienced geotechnical engineers to join a growing local team. Senior, Associate and Principal levels are available, with responsibilities spanning project leadership, design solutions and client engagement.

The role emphasizes managing projects, training junior staff and contributing to business development across Australia and New Zealand, with potential travel as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in a consultancy setting.
• Full Australian working rights and professional registration (RPEQ, CPEng or equivalent).
• Experience working in Australia and Queensland strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical projects and provide design solutions for infrastructure projects in the Sunshine Coast and across Australia and New Zealand.
• Lead and mentor junior staff; contribute to business development and client liaison.

About the role

We are excited to be opening a new, full-service office on the Sunshine Coast, positioning our team to deliver major infrastructure projects and support the region's continued growth. This expansion presents a rare opportunity for experienced geotechnical engineers to join our established local team and help shape the region's future. Opportunities are available at Senior, Associate and Principal levels.

We are looking for consultants with experience managing projects, providing design solutions, training junior staff and business development within the Sunshine Coast and throughout the business across Australia and New Zealand.

What You'll Need

• A Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science Degree
• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in a consultancy setting
• Full Australian working rights
• RPEQ, CPEng or relevant professional body registration
• At least two years of experience working in Aus and QLD is strongly preferred
• Good interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to travel if required
