Job summary

Australian Family Lawyers, based in Melbourne CBD, is seeking a Senior Lawyer with 4+ years’ PAE in Family Law to join the AFL Kordos team and manage own files. You will advise on divorce, property settlements, and related matters with client-focused outcomes.

In this role you’ll build strong client relationships, manage time and billing, and contribute to business development through referrals within a national team of family law professionals.

Qualifications

• Senior Lawyer with 4+ years’ PAE in Family Law.
• Experience running own cases and file management.
• Strong business acumen and ability to build referrals.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

Based in Melbourne CBD, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of supportive family law professionals. A typical day will include:

• Working with our senior lawyers in advising clients in relation to divorce & separation, property settlements, child support related matters, relocations and de-facto and same sex couples.
• Regular client contact that is empathetic and service and outcome focused
• Building & maintaining strong client relationships
• Liaising with a national team of highly experienced family layers in all aspects of day to day matters including professional practice.

About You:

You will be a Senior Lawyer with 4+ years’ PAE experience in Family Law and goal orientated. You will be keen to contribute to our existing success and have exposure and experience in running your own cases and file management. You will also have experience in building network referrals and be goal oriented in achieving exceptional outcomes for clients and AFL.

Also having a strong business acumen, you will understand the importance of managing time, achieving commercial outcomes, and be disciplined in debtor and time management. You thrive on creating productive networks and referral relationships in your area.
