Job summary

Autoline Pty Ltd, a family-owned Australian business in Perth, seeks an experienced Assistant Accountant for a school-friendly, part-time role. You will own the month-end close, manage payroll, and handle BAS/IAS, payroll tax and FBT, aligning financials with deadlines.

Based at our Canning Vale head office, you’ll support the finance team with reconciliations, journals, cash flow updates, and data integrity in MYOB EXO, while covering AP/AR as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in an accounting role.
• degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CA studies desirable).
• run a month-end close, ideally in a stock-holding or wholesale business.
• processed payroll under an award.
• prepared BAS, payroll tax and FBT.
• Are confident in Excel (XLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables).
• Have experience with MYOB EXO or a similar ERP (desirable).
• Can manage your time well to meet deadlines within a 6-hour day.

Responsibilities

• Run the month-end close and deliver draft financials on schedule.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations (bank, payroll, GST, PAYG, super, accruals, prepayments, inventory and intercompany).
• Post accruals, prepayments and month-end journals.
• Process payroll end to end, including super, allowances and employee queries.
• Prepare BAS/IAS, payroll tax and FBT for sign-off and lodging on time.
• Prepare year-end schedules for our external accountants.
• Update budget and cash flow models with actuals.
• Cover Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable when needed.
• Keep data in MYOB EXO clean and help improve processes.

Be part of a growing, family-owned business, with hours that fit around school.

At Autoline, you'll join a small, hands-on finance team that keeps the business running. You'll own the month-end close, payroll and lodgements, so our numbers are accurate and on time, every month. All of this happens within school-friendly hours, 6 hours a day, Monday to Friday.

The Role

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant who has run a month-end close before and is ready to take ownership of it. This role suits someone looking for school-friendly hours in a role with real responsibility. You’re organised and accurate, and you take pride in keeping the books clean and meeting deadlines.

Ideally, you have:

• 3–5 years' experience in an accounting role
