Job summary

Early Start Australia Pty is seeking an Experienced Registered Assessment Psychologist (FIFO) to join our allied health team. You’ll assess children and young people, provide feedback, and deliver therapy plans across Australia, with opportunities to travel to remote areas.

You’ll engage families, coordinate with schools and other professionals, and contribute to reports while supporting professional development and compliance with funding models.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Psychology.
• Registration with AHPRA and Psychology Board of Australia.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current Drivers’ Licence and vehicle.
• Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People registration (state specific).
• National Police Check.
• Accredited First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct New Client Assessments using referrals and questionnaires.
• Perform standardised and informal assessments and provide timely feedback.
• Create goal-based therapy plans and home/school-based activities.
• Monitor progress and complete reviews and reports.
• Align therapy with funding models (e.g., NDIS).
• Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development.
