Job summary
Seafolly, based in Sydney, seeks a Senior Designer for Apparel and Accessories on a 12-month maternity leave contract. You will lead design and development, translating seasonal direction into market-ready products that reflect our brand aesthetic.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams and offshore suppliers, you will drive technical excellence from concept through production, ensure fit, quality, cost and margin objectives, and mentor the Assistant Designer.
Qualifications
- 8+ years' experience in apparel and accessories design.
- Full lifecycle design from concept to production.
- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction and fabrics.
- Advanced Illustrator and Photoshop for CADs and specs.
- Experience collaborating with offshore suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver cohesive seasonal apparel and accessories collections.
- Lead end-to-end design process from concept to production.
- Create CADs and technical drawings communicating vision.
- Drive product development with Garment Tech and suppliers.
- Review samples and provide technical feedback on fit and finish.
- Balance design with cost and margin objectives.
- Maintain relationships with offshore suppliers and factories.
- Mentor the Assistant Designer and coordinate milestones.
