Qualifications

• PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of drug development and chemical process experience.
• Expertise in classic and modern synthetic methods.
• Proven track record building and leading research teams.
• Familiar with project management tools and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess and select optimal chemical routes and resources for development.
• Organize department to meet timelines, specifications, and FDA requirements.
• Conduct literature searches and laboratory work to evaluate routes.
• Develop in-process methods to monitor chemical processes.
• Prepare technical reports and participate in site management meetings.
• Interact with QA, QC, Engineering, Safety, and Operations as needed.
• Protect original technical information as company property.
• Assist in technology transfer and client communications for projects.
