Job summary

Tasmania Government invites applications for a fixed-term, full-time Registrar/Senior Registrar in Anatomical Pathology at the Royal Hobart Hospital. The role includes surgical cut-up, biopsy reporting and participation in multidisciplinary meetings, with exposure to histopathology, cytopathology and autopsy pathology.

The Department offers statewide training opportunities, protected training time and rotations through Forensic Pathology and Hobart Pathology, with close consultant supervision

Qualifications

• Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration where applicable.
• Registration/licence must be current and valid during employment.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day surgical cut-up and biopsy reporting.
• Participation in multidisciplinary and surgical meetings.
• Rotations and training in histopathology, cytopathology and autopsy pathology.
