Job summary

The Hassett Group seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer to advance our data and analytics environment. You will transform core systems data into trusted datasets, bridging data engineering and BI for analytics and reporting.

Key focus areas include scalable data models on Microsoft Fabric, ELT pipelines, and semantic modeling with Power BI, working closely with stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer or similar data-focused role.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong experience developing dimensional data models.
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure or comparable modern cloud data platforms.
• Strong understanding of semantic modelling and Power BI.
• Practical experience with ELT/ETL, data transformation and integration.
• Broader Data Engineering experience across pipelines, Lakehouse/Warehouse architecture or data ingestion will be highly regarded.
• StrongStakeholder communication skills with the ability to connect technical data solutions to business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data models across the Microsoft Fabric environment.
• Build reliable transformation and ELT processes from core enterprise systems.
• Design dimensional models and reusable datasets for analytics and reporting.
• Develop and maintain semantic models supporting Power BI and self-service analytics.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate reporting and analytical requirements into robust data solutions.
• Improve data quality, documentation, governance and development standards.
• Support CI/CD and the ongoing evolution of the organisation’s modern data platform.
