Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in financial services, wealth management, asset operations, or portfolio implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modelling capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong communication skills.
• Understanding of superannuation structures and multi-manager investments.
• Experience managing investment strategy changes, portfolio restructures, or asset transitions.
• Knowledge of unit pricing impacts and in-specie transfers.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities under pressure.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Analyst, Transition Management to play a critical role in delivering two significant strategic transformation initiatives within Asset Management.

About the Role

Working closely with investment, operations, legal, product, and project teams, you will lead the successful implementation of complex investment strategy changes while ensuring risks are effectively managed, costs are controlled, and client outcomes remain front of mind. You will be responsible for coordinating large-scale asset transitions, engaging with external investment partners, and ensuring projects are delivered smoothly, efficiently, and with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse investment strategy changes and develop effective transition management plans.
• Manage the movement and restructuring of investment assets across portfolios and strategies.
• Coordinate and monitor transition activities to ensure delivery quality, risk mitigation, and successful execution.
• Identify potential implementation risks and develop practical solutions to address them.
• Oversee and evaluate the performance of external transition managers.
• Partner with stakeholders across Asset Management, Operations, Product, Legal, and Fund Accounting teams.
• Ensure compliance obligations and governance requirements are met throughout implementation activities.
• Contribute to broader investment implementation initiatives and projects as required.

You'll bring:

• Degree qualifications in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Econometrics, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience within financial services, wealth management, investment operations, asset allocation, or portfolio implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of superannuation structures and multi-manager investment arrangements.
• Experience managing investment strategy changes, portfolio restructures, or asset transitions.
• Knowledge of unit pricing impacts associated with investment changes and in-specie transfers.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.The ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality outcomes to tight deadlines.

Highly Regarded

• Experience in Asset Transition Management.
• CFA, Masters of Applied Finance, or similar postgraduate investment qualification.
• Experience with UNISON or comparable fund accounting/unit pricing platforms.
• Understanding of investment taxation implications.
