Lanson Partners is seeking a Senior Analyst – Commercial Finance & Reporting in Sydney to drive financial reporting, analysis and strategic insights across a busy central Finance function.

The role offers exposure to organisation-wide investment activity and senior decision-making, with a focus on high-quality analysis, governance support and cross‑functional collaboration across Finance, Strategy and business units.

Qualifications

• Strong experience across financial analysis, management reporting, FP&A, commercial finance or investment reporting.
• An appropriate Finance qualification, ideally CA, CPA or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to turn financial information into meaningful insights.
• A curious and questioning mindset, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and solve complex problems.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across Finance and the broader business.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high‑quality reporting.
• A proactive, self‑starting approach with the ability to drive outcomes independently.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast‑paced environment.
• Exposure to process improvement, reporting automation or transformation.
• Experience with Tableau, Alteryx or Power BI would be advantageous but is not essential.
