Job summary

Pitcher Partners Melbourne is seeking a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager to join the Private Business and Family Advisory team, focusing on accounting, advisory and tax services for a diverse client base. The role blends technical work with strategic business advice and mentoring junior staff.

You will prepare and review financial statements, budgets and tax returns, collaborate across practice areas, and contribute to client relationships with integrity and leadership.

Qualifications

• Related tertiary qualifications in accounting and current experience in professional environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with a desire to learn and exposure to client work.
• Emerging leader with integrity who can influence and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support a client base with accounting, advisory and tax services; mix of technical support and business advice.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, budgets/cash flow forecasts, income tax returns, BAS or FBT returns.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas and mentor/review junior staff.

About the team

The Private Business and Family Advisory team create value and improve the way our clients work by providing advice such as; asset protection, business performance, business reporting, accounting and taxation management, wealth protection and generational change management.

About the role

As a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager within our Private Business and Family Advisory team you will support a client base with a diverse range of accounting, advisory and tax services advice. Your day will be a mix of technical support and business advice.

Technically you could prepare and review financial statements, management reports, budgets/cash flow forecasts, income tax returns, business activity statements or fringe benefit tax returns.

You will collaborate will colleagues across our various business areas and support, mentor and review the work of junior staff members.
