Job summary

Civil Aviation Safety Authority in Sydney is seeking a Senior Airworthiness Engineer - Continued Operational Safety. You will lead airworthiness management for in-service aircraft, develop and interpret regulatory standards, and advise on propulsion and mechanical systems across CASA, ATSB, and industry partners.

The role requires extensive experience, project leadership, and the ability to work independently on complex tasks while travelling as needed and upholding CASA Values.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of recent experience in airworthiness and regulations.
• Knowledge of Australian aviation safety legislation andCASRs/CARs.
• Experience in certification of propulsion and mechanical systems or major design changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality technical advice and support to the Manager, Continued Operational Safety.
• Review and interpret airworthiness standards and guidance material.
• Develop procedures for determining compliance with airworthiness requirements.
• Draft Airworthiness Directives and Bulletins as needed.
• Advise CASA, ATSB, and industry on airworthiness matters.
• Represent CASA at forums and foster collaborations with relevant organisations.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Promote safety, diversity, and CASA Values in the workplace.
