Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an experienced Air Quality Managing Consultant to lead complex dispersion modelling and environmental impact assessments across Australia, collaborating with Australian, APAC, and global teams. The role combines technical leadership with project management and mentoring of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field with 10+ years in air dispersion modelling and impact assessment.
• Certified Air Quality Professional (CAQP) preferred with involvement in profile-raising activities.
• Proficiency in meteorological and air dispersion modelling software such as AERMET, AERMOD, CALMET, CALPUFF, GRAMM, GRAL, TAPM and WRF.
• Experience in development of air, odour and GHG emissions inventories across various industries.
• Strong report writing skills including Air Quality Impact Assessments and management plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex air quality dispersion modelling and environmental impact assessment projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources and quality for on-time delivery.
• Provide QA/QC review and technical oversight of modelling analyses and reports.
• Engage with clients and regulators as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor junior staff and support career development.
• Contribute technically to proposals and client engagements; identify growth opportunities.
• Coordinate cross-region collaboration and digital innovation for project delivery.
