Job summary

Totino Investments in Sydney is seeking an experienced air conditioning and refrigeration mechanic for a full-time, ongoing role. You will install, service, maintain and repair AC and refrigeration systems, read drawings and specifications to lay out job requirements and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The ideal candidate holds AQF Certificate III or IV (or at least three years of relevant industry experience).

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in a relevant field, including on-the-job training.
• Either AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field or at least three years of relevant industry experience.
• Relevant licensing/registration as required in Australia depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Establish job requirements from drawings and specifications and lay out installation reference points.
• Install, service and repair air conditioning and refrigeration components and systems.
• Install copper lines and piping for refrigerant and water systems and ensure leak-free joints.
• Test-operate systems, check mechanisms and adjust as needed.
• Maintain safe work practices and comply with procedures and standards.
• Record causes of malfunction and corrective action taken.
• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
