Job summary

AFCA is seeking a data science and AI solution engineer to design, build and deploy AI/ML solutions that address real business needs in a responsible, scalable way. You will collaborate with data engineers, architects and stakeholders to turn challenges into production-ready models and tools.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and delivering AI/ML solutions in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, ML techniques, model evaluation and experimental design.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data.
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills, with version control and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy end-to-end AI/ML solutions.
• Translate business problems into analytical approaches, models and technical solutions.
• Explore and analyse structured and unstructured data to identify trends and insights.
• Develop, evaluate and optimise ML models for classification, prediction and decision support.
• Partner with data and platform engineers to integrate models into enterprise systems.
• Contribute to AI engineering, MLOps, DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Support testing, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement of AI solutions.
• Embed responsible AI principles including fairness, transparency, privacy and explainability.
• Document models and solution designs to support governance and sustainability.
• Communicate complex analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
