Job summary

x15ventures, CommBank’s venture-building arm, recruits hands-on product engineers to ship AI-powered products across a portfolio of ventures. You will own the end-to-end journey from discovery to production, collaborating with venture and x15 leaders to deliver measurable value using AI-enabled workflows.

You will adapt quickly to different products and codebases, balancing accuracy, latency, cost and security while maintaining high-trust practices across complex integrations.

Qualifications

• Experience building AI-powered applications using models, tools and retrieval.
• Designing and operating cloud-native applications, APIs and integration-heavy systems.
• Building secure, high-trust products in regulated or financial contexts.

Responsibilities

• Own the outcome end-to-end from discovery through production, measurement and iteration.
• Move between ventures at different stages, adapting context while delivering in collaboration with the venture teams.
• Extend AI-native engineering capabilities with agentic workflows to improve development speed, testing and quality.
