Job summary

Settify is building a consumer-facing AI/LegalTech product from the ground up. You will own backend services, AI infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and observability in a Sydney-based hybrid role.

You will work at the intersection of software and platform engineering, shaping the AI infrastructure that powers Settify’s product and ensuring scalable, observable, and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and shipping production software.
• Proficient in Node.js backend and TypeScript.
• Strong AWS: Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, VPC, IAM.
• Infrastructure-as-code discipline: CDK or Terraform.
• CI/CD pipeline design and automated testing/deployments.
• Observability tools like Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus or CloudWatch.
• Strong data modelling and database design experience.
• LLM infrastructure experience: API integration, rate limits, retries, cost/latency monitoring.
• CS/engineering degree or equivalent depth.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services in TS/Node.js with APIs, data models, business logic, LLM integrations.
• Own AI infrastructure powering Settify's features; monitor cost, latency and performance.
• Design, implement and ship end-to-end platform components; collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
