Alignerr is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale the infrastructure powering AI products. This fully remote hourly contract offers 20–40 hours per week and autonomy to tackle challenging architectural problems.

You will work on production-grade systems, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud services across Python/TypeScript, collaborating asynchronously with ML engineers and researchers to ship impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript (or similar).
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, or data-intensive apps.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, and modern development tooling.
• Excellent written communication and async collaboration.
• Self-directed and reliable with autonomous work style.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software systems for AI training, evaluation, and deployment pipelines.
• Write clean, well-tested, and scalable code in Python, TypeScript, or other modern languages.
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and backend services at scale.
• Architect solutions balancing speed of delivery with maintainability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate asynchronously with ML engineers, researchers, and product managers.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Work independently on well-scoped projects with ownership.
