Job summary

Aurec is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a Federal Government project in Canberra. You will design and deploy enterprise AI solutions, including generative agents, using Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft AI services.

This role covers end-to-end AI lifecycle from PoC to production, with emphasis on governance and security. The position supports hybrid work arrangements across ACT, NSW, VIC, or QLD, offering a 12-month contract with extension options.

Qualifications

• Ethical AI and security governed design principles are required.
• Strong stakeholder management and technical advisory abilities.
• Experience delivering enterprise AI pilots and POCs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy enterprise AI solutions and intelligent agents.
• Integrate AI capabilities with existing data platforms and systems.
• Apply robust AI engineering, DevOps, and MLOps practices for production readiness.
• Embed governance and privacy controls into architectures.
• Collaborate with leads and stakeholders to translate requirements into AI solutions.
