Job summary

PwC Australia is seeking an experienced penetration tester or red teamer to join our Offensive Security practice in Melbourne. You will work on hands‑on testing, run red/purple team engagements, and deliver risk‑based recommendations to improve client cyber resilience.

You will mentor junior testers, help develop internal tooling, and contribute to shaping our AI‑enabled offensive security services while collaborating with a national team and stakeholders across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting penetration tests on applications, systems and networks.
• Ability to design and run red team/purple team exercises.
• Proven capability to coach and mentor junior practitioners.
• Strong report writing and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.
• Lead red team and/or purple team engagements across detection, prevention and response.
• Provide pragmatic recommendations to address identified risks.
• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of engagements and client communications.
• Oversee technical quality and produce management and technical reports.
• Mentor junior testers and contribute to internal knowledge base.
