Job summary

XPT Software Australia in Canberra seeks a Lead Microservices & AI Technical Architect to shape cloud-native architectures and drive AI-enabled platform delivery. You will influence engineering decisions, establish modern SDLC practices and champion secure, scalable service delivery.

The role requires extensive experience in enterprise architecture, AI engineering and platform engineering, with strong stakeholder engagement and leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, implementing and governing cloud native, microservices and event driven architectures within complex enterprise environments.
• Expertise in AI engineering and AI enabled solution delivery, including semantic search and ML solutions.
• Strong software and platform engineering capability, incl. DevSecOps, CI/CD, testing, observability and secure-by-design practices.
• Proven leadership in technology modernisation, governance and driving improvements in reliability and security.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and leadership with senior executives and delivery partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural authority for cloud-native, microservices and AI platforms.
• Lead adoption of modern engineering and AI delivery practices across the SDLC.
• Drive platform modernization, containerisation and integration of enterprise systems.
• Transfer knowledge and uplift engineering maturity through governance and multidisciplinary teams.
