Job summary
Macquarie Bank Limited is seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to drive software quality by developing AI-enabled automated testing solutions. You will work closely with development teams to embed quality into the delivery lifecycle and create scalable automation capabilities across the organisation.
Key focus areas include TypeScript UI and Java/Gherkin API testing, agentic AI tooling, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines for early, frequent testing without slowing delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience building, maintaining and improving modern TypeScript UI and Java/Gherkin API testing frameworks.
- Strong practical experience using agentic AI coding assistants for test planning, generation and maintenance.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for early, frequent testing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance automated testing solutions with a focus on AI-enabled quality.
- Embed quality into the software delivery lifecycle across teams.
- Create scalable, reusable automation capabilities and support teams to automate testing for features built.
- Provide guidance as a QA and automation SME, supporting shift-left processes and guardrails.
