VIDA Roads in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Advisor, Transaction and Contracts to lead transaction management, commercial and financial management for major road infrastructure programs. The role supports contractor and designer panels, procurement strategies, tender documentation and contract negotiation through to award.

It requires preparing approvals, maintaining risk controls and ensuring governance across VIDA Roads and government levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in transaction management and contracts for infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of procurement, tendering and contract negotiation processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist in delivery of transaction management for infrastructure projects.
• Support Contractor and Designer panel management and panel refresh processes.
• Develop procurement and packaging strategies and key bid components.
• Prepare tender and development phase documentation; evaluate offers and awards.
• Assist in obtaining approvals within VIDA Roads and government levels; maintain virtual data room.
• Oversee commercial, contractual and financial management of contracts; minimize risks.
• Review monthly payment claims and variations; provide supporting detail.
• Identify commercial risk exposures and support resolution of actions.
• Prepare briefs for internal/government approvals on commercial/contract matters.
• Provide detailed analysis and advice on commercially sensitive issues for senior management.
• Prepare commercial elements of procurement documentation.
• Report to the Transaction Manager on transaction management and financial management of projects.

North East Link will fix the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network with new 6.5 km tunnels from Watsonia to Bulleen. We're also overhauling the Eastern Freeway and completing the M80 Ring Road at Greensborough.

Road Programs are also delivering dozens of new roads, bridges, road widening projects and major freeway upgrades.

This role will be locatedat180 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

• Manage and assist in the delivery of transaction management services for infrastructure projects, including but not limited to:
• Supporting with the Contractor and Designer panel management;
• The transaction process of the panel refresh and application processes;
• Procurement and packaging strategies, including developing key components;
• Preparation of tender and Development Phase documentation, tender and delivery phase offer evaluation, contract negotiation and award of construction contracts and assist in obtaining all necessary approvals within VIDA Roads and broader levels of Government; and The continued set up and use of the virtual data room platform.
• Manage and assist in the delivery of commercial, contractual and financial management of infrastructure contracts, including but not limited to:

Ensuring compliance with the contract and maintaining records to minimize commercial risks;

Reviewing and preparing assessments of monthly payment claims and adjustment events / variations from contractors, ensuring appropriate support detail is provided;

Identifying and escalating potential commercial risk exposures / opportunities and support the resolution of commercial actions in a timely manner;

Developing documentation and briefs for internal and government approvals on commercial and contract management matters;

Preparing detailed analysis, advice and support on commercial and politically sensitive issues for senior management, ensuring all financial, contractual and legislative obligations and frameworks are being met; and

Preparing commercial components of procurement related documentation.

Reporting to the Transaction Manager, the Senior Advisor, Transaction and Contracts will be responsible for overseeing and providing support on the transaction management, commercial, contractual and financial management of infrastructure projects within the Big Build Roads program.
