Overview

Senior Advisor – Governance & Information Management A large Queensland Government department is seeking a Senior Advisor to lead governance and information management for a major infrastructure program. This role will establish and oversee information management systems, ensuring compliance, governance, and digital integration across all stages of delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement governance frameworks, policies, and processes for information and document management.
  • Oversee the configuration and deployment of the document control environment, managing end-to-end information lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project teams to embed data management controls and ensure compliance with legislative and contractual requirements.
  • Provide high-level analysis and advice to inform program decision-making.
  • Support audit, assurance, and risk management activities relating to information governance.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure governance processes are understood and applied consistently.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in information management governance and document control frameworks.
  • Proven ability to implement document control systems and processes, including platforms such as InEight (TeamBinder), SharePoint, MS Teams, and Content Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting compliance, assurance, and governance activities in large-scale projects.
