About the role

The Senior Advisor supports the Office of the Deputy Secretary, Network Design and Integration by providing high-quality policy advice, analysis and coordination to enable informed and timely decision-making. The role works closely with senior leaders, Ministerial offices and teams across the department to deliver strategic priorities.

You'resomeone who:

  • Applies systems thinking to understand complex issues, identify opportunities and develop practical, organisation-wide solutions.
  • Communicates with clarity and confidence, delivering credible advice and handling complex or sensitive issues effectively.
  • Adapts quickly to changing priorities and works collaboratively across teams to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Builds support and influences stakeholders to gain buy-in, navigate competing priorities and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Understands the political and organisational environment, ensuring advice and decisions align with governance, legislation and strategic priorities.

Qualifications and experience

You'llbring:

  • A relevant tertiary degree or experience in a similar role would be well regarded. (Desired)
