Job summary

The Road Policing Enforcement Division (RPED) within Victoria Police is seeking two full-time, fixed-term officers based at the Victoria Police Centre, Docklands, to manage complex infringement matters and provide high-level advisory support. You will produce strategic reports and assist senior managers to improve policing outcomes on Victorian roads.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents, with pre-employment checks required.

Job description

The Road Policing Enforcement Division (RPED) sits within Road Policing, Victoria Police. It consists of both VPS and Police members and plays a critical role in long-term deterrence of dangerous road behaviour through detection of speed and red-light offences, plus resultant infringements. It is RPED's vision and mission to be a vital contributor to community safety and work towards zero deaths and serious injuries on Victorian roads.RPED has strong engagement with the wider organisation, road safety partners within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, plus service providers involved in traffic offence detection. As an enforcement agency, it also processes requests for reviews, nominations and court requests relating to infringements issued by Victoria Police.Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

Further Information

Two (2) x full-time, fixed term (three years) positions available.

This position is located at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
