Job summary

AIG Australia Limited is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst for its Managing General Agent (MGA) team in Australia. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to support pricing, monitoring and profitability assessments across MGAs in Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the MGA Actuarial lead, you will help develop pricing models, conduct profitability studies, and engage with underwriters and MGAs to drive strategic recommendations while delivering high-quality analyses within

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or other quantitative field.
• Prior general insurance experience.
• Experience in programming with Python, R or SQL is advantageous.
• Experience with databases and data extraction/manipulation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support proactive, regular portfolio management to ensure profitable growth.
• Assist development and implementation of pricing and rating models and tech raters.
• Support profitability studies and budget loss ratio by segment.
• Conduct due diligence for MGA opportunities.
• Collaborate with underwriters, MGAs and stakeholders to provide strategic recommendations.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses as required.
