Arup in Sydney seeks a Senior Acoustician to lead acoustics, noise, and vibration projects from planning through execution. You will guide project teams, deliver technically robust and creative solutions, and mentor junior colleagues.

The role requires a tertiary degree in Acoustics, Physics, or Engineering, at least six years of experience, strong knowledge of standards and guidelines, and proven ability to communicate findings through reports and presentations to clients.

Formación

• A tertiary degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline, with a recognised professional qualification.
• At least 6 years’ experience in acoustics consulting or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of acoustics, noise, and vibration principles, including relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines.
• Demonstrated experience using empirical, analytical, and simulation tools and preparing high-quality technical reports.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and commercial skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and deliver practical solutions under tight deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and deliver medium-sized acoustics, noise, and vibration consulting projects from planning through execution.
• Resolve complex acoustical engineering challenges and provide clear interpretations and conclusions from technical data.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, supervising colleagues and collaborating with engineers from other disciplines.
• Communicate technical acoustics advice through meetings, reports, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Manage project performance including timelines, budgets, client enquiries, and preparation of fee proposals.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development activities.
