Job summary

Focus Partners Australia is seeking a Supervisor to lead senior technical reviews and client delivery from Sydney, NSW. The role balances high-quality work with strong client interaction and mentoring of junior team members.

The successful candidate will review financial statements, tax returns, and provide guidance on income tax, CGT, small business concessions, FBT and GST, while supporting workflow management and escalation processes to maintain service standards.

Qualifications

6-8 years of experience in business services and taxation within public practice.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
CPA or CA qualification.
High-level tax law and review expertise.
Demonstrated experience supporting and reviewing team output.

Responsibilities

Oversee client engagements and provide technical guidance on tax and compliance.
Review financial statements and income tax returns for various entities.
Support workflow coordination and mentor junior accountants and offshore staff.
Ensure adherence to tax laws, regulatory standards and quality controls.
Collaborate with Managers and Principals to deliver advisory outcomes.
