William Buck is seeking a dynamic advisor to lead technology-focused client portfolios, providing financial and strategic guidance across VCFO services. You will oversee reports, budgets and forecasting while building strong client relationships and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of technology-focused clients, advising on financial, operational and strategic matters.
• Oversee preparation and review of management reports, statutory accounts and compliance obligations.
• Perform VCFO services including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, KPI reporting and strategic planning.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships and identify opportunities to add value.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance, reviewing work and supporting development.
• Collaborate with advisory, tax and specialist teams to deliver tailored client solutions.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and maintain a high-performing culture.

What your day might look like:

• Lead a portfolio of technology-focused clients, acting as a trusted adviser on financial, operational and strategic matters
• Oversee the preparation and review of management reports, statutory accounts and compliance obligations, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely delivery
• Perform Virtual CFO (VCFO) services including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, KPI reporting and strategic business planning
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, proactively identifying opportunities to add value and provide strategic insights
• Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance, reviewing work and supporting ongoing professional development
• Collaborate closely with advisory, tax and specialist teams to deliver tailored, integrated client solutions
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and capability building within the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with Australian accounting standards, legislative requirements, professional standards and internal quality controls
