Qualifikationen

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Commerce required.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• CA or CPA qualification or progress toward it preferred.
• Experience with Australian taxation requirements.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and review financial statements for company, trust, partnership and other business clients.
• Maintain and review ledgers, journals, accruals, prepayments and depreciation schedules.
• Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations and correct discrepancies.
• Prepare and review income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS and check GST, PAYG.
• Review client income, expenditure and operating costs and explain movements.
• Support senior accountants with taxation matters for business structures.
• Use Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and AO to maintain client records and complete work.
• Review client record-keeping and recommend improvements to processes.
• Liaise with clients and the ATO within delegated authority.
• Maintain engagement files and ensure traceability of submissions.
• Manage deadlines and review junior staff work.
