Optimum Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term role in Queensland to own the outgoings cycle for asset entities, from budgets to audits, and to manage fixed asset accounting across the Group.

You will review leases, calculate recoveries, and liaise with the external auditor, while ensuring compliance with AASB 116 and ITAA 1997 provisions. This autonomous, hands-on position demands strong ERP and Excel skills.

Formación

• 5+ years' accounting experience, ideally in commercial property
• Proven experience preparing outgoings budgets and coordinating audits
• Strong knowledge of lease structures and leasing legislation
• Solid fixed asset accounting and Australian Accounting Standards knowledge
• Familiarity with Division 40 and 43 ITAA 1997 and IT life determinations
• ERP experience (Dynamics 365) and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and deadline-driven
• Clear written and verbal tenant communications

Responsabilidades

• Prepare annual outgoings budgets for asset entities with asset management
• Review leases for recoverable outgoings, tenant proportions, exclusions and caps
• Issue outgoings estimate letters to tenants per Retail Shop Leases Act 1994 (Qld)
• Monitor spend and ensure recoveries are invoiced correctly
• Coordinate and run annual outgoings audit with external auditor
• Prepare actual outgoings statements and adjustment letters
• Maintain fixed asset register including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation
• Identify capital expenditure and determine AASB 116 and tax treatment
• Review month end processing, accruals and reconciliations
• Prepare budget-to-actual analysis and variance commentary
• Support audits, FBT, BAS and income tax compliance
• Maintain process docs for smooth handover at contract end
