Job summary

SKG Services is seeking a detail-driven Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Sydney. You will oversee payroll, supervise AR/AP processes, and manage month-end reporting while ensuring compliance with Australian standards.

The role also involves maintaining the fixed asset register and supporting audits in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have 5+ years of experience and CPA/CA status or progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA/CA qualified or currently working towards qualification.
• 5+ years’ accounting experience, including payroll and month-end reporting.
• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving business environment.
• Leadership experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review payroll accuracy and ensure compliance with legislation & company policies.
• Supervise and check AP processing, coding, and approvals.
• Prepare & review month-end journals, reconciliations, and management reports.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, depreciation, and impairment reviews.
• Support internal/external audits and uphold strong financial controls.
