Peabody Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Financial and Operations Accounting team in Australia. This hands-on role focuses on lease accounting, month-end processes and mining-specific items, with exposure to IFRS and US GAAP.

The position reports to the Manager Financial and Operations Accounting and has no direct reports. Brisbane CBD office offers flexible start/finish times and a redistributed week with Friday finish option.

Qualifikationen

• CA or CPA qualification with 5+ years of chartered accounting or industry experience.
• Strong IFRS and US GAAP knowledge, including differences between standards.
• Experience preparing technical accounting memos, audit support documentation.

Aufgaben

• Lead lease accounting under IFRS and US GAAP, including journals and reconciliations.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deliverables.
