Job summary

Lead Group in Perth is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Business Services team on a hybrid basis. You will manage a portfolio of SME and privately owned clients and contribute to financial statements, tax returns, and BAS preparation while supporting tax planning and business advisory initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Australian public practice, strong tax knowledge, and CA/CPA qualifications or progress toward them.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Australian public practice experience.
• Strong Business Services / Tax experience.
• Comfortable managing your own client portfolio.
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards it.
• Good technical accounting and tax knowledge.
• Confident communicating with clients.
• Interested in developing further into advisory.
• Looking for a pathway towards Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and privately owned clients
• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns
• Prepare and review BAS
• Assist with tax planning and business advisory
• Deal directly with clients and business owners
• Work through more complex client matters
• Review work and assist junior accountants
• Identify opportunities to provide additional advisory support
