Job summary

BDO Australia is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to deliver professional accounting services to a diverse client base, from startups to international groups. The role supports both domestic and international clients across multiple industries, with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or flexible arrangements.

Offices are conveniently located in Sydney CBD and Parramatta. You will prepare management reports, complex financial statements, and tax-related work while mentoring junior

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification (or currently completing) is required.
• 2-3 years’ Business Services/Tax experience (mid-tier experience desirable).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish professional relations with internal and external clients.
• Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability.
• Ability to multi-task and effectively manage workload.
• Self-motivated and team oriented.
• Attention to detail and proactive work approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounting reports for Manager review with commentary for stakeholders.
• Prepare complex financial statements per regulatory and accounting standards.
• Prepare and review work papers; supervise junior staff as appropriate.
• Review tax and FBT returns for compliance and identify issues.
• Perform tax planning for clients and prepare tax returns.
• Handle quarterly and annual tax compliance matters.
• Provide advice on business operations and regulatory matters.
• General business administration.
