Engage Personnel in Melbourne seeks a Senior Accountant to join our Eastern Suburbs boutique. This hands-on role lets you manage your own client portfolio, prepare and review financial statements and tax returns, and liaise directly with clients and the ATO.

You’ll support junior offshore accountants and contribute to diverse SME and high-net-worth client work. The ideal candidate will have Australian public practice experience, strong knowledge of CGT, Division 7A, FBT and margin schemes, and

Formación

• Experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• Strong experience managing own client portfolio.
• Solid knowledge of Australian taxation and business services.
• Experience with CGT, Division 7A, FBT and margin schemes.
• Comfortable interacting with clients and the ATO.
• Experience reviewing work or supervising junior accountants.
• Exposure to SMSF compliance is advantageous.
• Experience with accounting software Xero, HandiSoft, MYOB.

Responsabilidades

• Manage your own SME client portfolio and complex business structures.
• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns and compliance work.
• Manage client relationships and communicate directly with clients via phone and email.
• Liaise with the ATO regarding client taxation matters and enquiries.
• Provide advice and assistance across CGT, Division 7A, FBT and margin schemes.
• Review and oversee work completed by junior offshore accountants.
• Assist with BAS, GST and other business compliance requirements.
• Work closely with the Directors to deliver quality accounting and taxation services.
