Job summary

Hart Recruitment is assisting an Adelaide-based public practice to recruit an Intermediate/Senior Accountant for its Business Services team. You will work with Partners and Managers across a diverse client base, handling complex compliance and advisory work.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified or actively working towards completion.
• 2-5+ years' experience in an Australian public practice environment.
• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills and client rapport.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
• Prepare and review BAS/IAS.
• Assist with tax planning and advisory work, including Div 7A and CGT matters.
• Liaise directly with clients to build and maintain strong working relationships.
• Mentor and review the work of junior team members (Senior level).
• Involvement in FBT and SMSF compliance as required.
• Work with cloud-based accounting software and XPM.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Accountant to join their Business Services division. You'll work closely with Partners and Managers on a varied client base spanning multiple industries, gaining exposure to complex compliance and advisory work in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals

Preparation and review of BAS/IAS

Assisting with tax planning and advisory work, including Div 7A and CGT matters

Liaising directly with clients to build and maintain strong working relationships

Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members (Senior level)

Involvement in FBT and SMSF compliance as required

Working with cloud-based accounting software and XPM

About You

CA/CPA qualified or actively working towards completion

2-5+ years' experience in an Australian public practice environment

Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build client rapport

Experience mentoring junior staff highly regarded (for Senior-level candidates)
