Job summary

Design & Build is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Adelaide. You will own core financial processes and partner with stakeholders to influence business decisions.

CA or CPA qualified professionals with strong technical accounting skills and a proactive mindset are encouraged to apply. Experience in construction or manufacturing is a plus, as is comfort working in a dynamic, high-integrity environment.

Qualifications

• Construction or manufacturing sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing month-end close, reconciliations, and KPI reporting.
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, and medium-term financial plans.
• Ensuring statutory compliance including BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax, WorkCover and superannuation lodgements.
• Building strong stakeholder relationships to improve financial controls and decision-making.
• Supporting payroll processing, internal audits, and asset/capital project management.
• Driving cash flow management and process improvements across finance.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their finance team, taking ownership of core financial processes while playing a genuine role in shaping business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the month-end close, including reconciliations and accruals, while producing clear and insightful financial and KPI reporting
• Taking an active hand in the preparation of accurate budgets, forecasts and medium-term financial plans
• Maintaining compliance across statutory requirements, including BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax, WorkCover and superannuation lodgements
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to improve financial controls and support better decision-making
• Supporting payroll processing, internal audits, and the ongoing management of asset and capital investment projects
• Driving cash flow management and identifying process improvements to boost efficiency across the finance function
