Job summary

Waratah Recruitment Partners is seeking a leader to head a fund accounting team responsible for NAV calculations across private equity funds. You will manage day-to-day team operations and coordinate client deliverables with Account Manager/AVP support.

Key responsibilities include overseeing fee calculations, financial statements, LP/GP allocations, and fund events while maintaining general ledger integrity and onboarding documentation. Strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the team, working with the internal training department
• Oversee the timing and quality of client deliverables against agreed Service Level Agreements
• Manage relationships across multiple clients, including joining senior management on client visits
• Prepare and review fee calculations (management and admin fees, waterfall clawback, carried interest), financial statements, footnotes, partner capital statements and LP/GP allocations
• Review and coordinate fund events such as capital calls, distributions, partner transfers and fund closings
• Review trial balances and maintain control of the general ledger and sub-ledger
• Review limited partnership agreements, PPMs and related documents at onboarding and during restructures
• Set up fund structures in the accounting system
• Provide technical accounting and industry guidance to clients
• Prepare client service plans, including annual budgets and year-end audits
• Work with internal teams (Legal, Financial Reporting, Tax, Regulatory) so processes meet client needs
• Review trading and operations processes for the private equity division
• Contribute to marketing and sales pitches for the firm's private equity real estate (PERE) offering
