Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • 10+ years of successful technical sales and sales management experience.
  • Experience with Total Chemical Management, oil & gas production systems, Phase Separation, Flow assurance, integrity management, water injection, chemical application facilities and utility systems.
  • High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast revenues and profitability for area customers and manage P&L for area.
  • Coach and develop sales representatives; lead a team to prioritize customer accounts.
  • Develop strategies with team to close opportunities in existing and major accounts.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager based in Perth, Australia. The Senior Account Manager will be primarily responsible for revenue and profit growth of PCT programs and services in targeted accounts within Australia. There is a strong emphasis on coaching and leading a group of sales professionals, helping them to develop strong account leadership skills and to convert strategic competitive accounts. The role is a primary resource to the Area Manager, assisting with execution of corporate initiatives, hiring and training of new Sales Representatives.

What You Will Do

Responsible for forecasting revenues and profitability for area customers and accountable for managing P&L for area. Counsels and develops sales representatives; Coaches moderate-sized customers. Work closely with team on strategic current and prospective customers to help define key business needs, and to recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales in your assigned area. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the current and prospective customers in your area, including site or facility executives. Work closely with team on generating and executing sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities in existing customer base, and in major, competitively held accounts, to meet defined area profit increase goals. Provide business and technical support to Reps in their customer accounts; identifying and resolving customer complaints, and escalating as required. Work closely with team on actively selling and supporting the Company's innovations and technology in their assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with the Company. Assist with the planning and execution of successful customer and prospect Seminars, demonstrating the Company's market leadership within the local geography Development and maintenance of an effective working relationship with Key Customers promoting the desired image of the Company and ensuring Customer satisfaction. Proactive identification and resolution of issues reported by field chemists or customer, work to create and present solutions as appropriate, balancing the Company's needs and managing customer expectations. Prepare and deliver both technical and commercial presentations. Leadership in the preparation and delivery of business review meetings for area of responsibility, both internally and externally Active collaboration and knowledge sharing with other personnel within the Company by exchanging information, potential new business opportunities, chemical applications and best practices, by regularly leveraging on available knowledge sharing platforms, such as CORE Exhibit leadership in the theory and application of the PROact customer management model. This includes, not only training and coaching, but also exhibiting proficiency in its application to sales processes and clearly communicating and documenting value provided to customers Participate in trials, audits and field support activities as required, ensuring to adhere to internal and external safe work practices, policies and procedures, actively taking part in safety initiatives Proficient in most types of field work, including sampling and testing knowledge, willing and able to transfer that expertise to more Junior representatives through active training and coaching Work to resolve any conflicts in a productive and collaborative manner Assist internal functional teams by providing, as necessary, information regarding customer trends, issues and requests related to products / applications / systems.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • 10+ years of successful technical sales and sales management experience.
  • Demonstrate competence in Total Chemical Management, oil & gas production systems, Phase Separation, Flow assurance, integrity management, water injection, chemical application facilities and utility systems.

  • Prior experience that required excellent communication skills

  • Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
  • History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation
  • Sales history of calling on multi-level plant or facilities management and developing executive-level relationships.

Candidate must reside in Perth and be prepared to travel customer operating site locations in Central Australia and Queensland where required Ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulatory and corporate standards.
