Job summary

PMR Diesel is a workshop at Chevallum on the Sunshine Coast with a well-equipped facility featuring multiple hoists and modern diagnostic equipment and workshop systems. We are building a strong workshop and fleet servicing business.

This senior 4WD/Diesel Mechanic role offers the autonomy to manage your own jobs, a broad variety of work, and potential leadership progression as the workshop grows, with a Monday–Friday full‑time schedule on the Sunshine Coast.

Qualifications

• Recognised automotive or diesel mechanical trade qualification.
• Strong practical experience.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Experience with diesel vehicles and/or 4WDs.
• Ability to work independently.
• High standard of workmanship.
• Reliable and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults across a broad range of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct diagnostic fault finding.
• Complete engine and cooling system repairs.
• Perform driveline and transmission repairs.
• Conduct brake and suspension repairs.
• Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Identify and rectify defects.
• Conduct vehicle inspections.
• Complete general mechanical repairs.
• Take jobs from diagnosis through to completion.
