Job summary

The Australian National University (ANU) invites applications for a Materials Electron Microscopy Specialist within the Centre for Advanced Microscopy (CAM). You will provide expert SEM-based analysis support (EDS/WDS/EBSD) and deliver training, workshops, and hands-on assistance to ANU researchers and external clients.

Based in the CAM, you will also manage laboratory operations and instrument performance, collaborating with government and industry users while contributing to cutting-edge

Qualifications

• > Extensive experience in Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) including EDS, WDS and EBSD analyses.
• > Ability to train researchers and students and run workshops.
• > Strong organizational and self-management skills for lab and equipment management.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and training on SEM imaging, EDS, WDS and EBSD analysis on high-end FESEMs.
• Deliver training workshops for clients across disciplines.
• Laboratory and equipment management including performance monitoring and basic maintenance.
