Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Security Operations Analyst (AI Training) to help shape how AI understands and responds to cybersecurity threats. You will work remotely on an hourly contract, dedicating 10–40 hours per week, and contribute to real-world SOC scenarios with AI-enhanced tooling.

You will triage alerts, investigate incidents, and provide structured feedback to improve AI detection and response capabilities, collaborating with top security and AI researchers on frontier systems.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

• Analyze realistic SOC scenarios — alerts, incidents, and investigations — and evaluate how AI systems respond to them
• Classify severity levels, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions
• Review detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and real-world relevance
• Validate AI outputs to ensure they reflect how experienced security analysts actually think and operate
• Provide structured, expert feedback that helps frontier AI models reason through threats more effectively

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role
• Solid familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage workflows, and threat investigation processes
• Skilled at distinguishing genuine security signals from noise and false positives
• Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on asynchronous, task-based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with EDR, SOAR, or threat intelligence platforms
• Background in malware analysis, network forensics, or cloud security
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK or similar frameworks
• Prior involvement in AI evaluation, red teaming, or security research
