Job summary

Mitie is recruiting a Faith Communities Security Officer in Australia to protect properties, people and assets in places of worship. The role requires sensitivity to diverse beliefs and the ability to interact with visitors, staff and vulnerable groups, including those with limited English.

The position follows a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern, and candidates must hold a valid Door Supervisors SIA Licence with at least two years of security experience.

• Perform building and property patrols, health and safety incident management, access control, first aid, lost property management, and other duties as required.

As a Faith Community Security Officer, you are responsible for protecting the property, people, and assets of our clients whilst working in locations that may have religious beliefs that are different from your own, therefore you will need to be sensitive to their needs and expectations.

The role also requires you to interact with children, vulnerable adults, and people who may have limited English language skills, therefore you will need to adjust your interaction accordingly.

Main Duties
