Job summary

Wilson Security in Tasmania is seeking Security Officers for roles across the North-West, Burnie and Devonport. The positions are casual with 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends and require a Tasmanian Security Licence and First Aid certificate.

The role supports multiple sites with a focus on emergency response, client safety and professional conduct. Training, 24/7 availability, and full working rights are included in the opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report incidents in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain security and integrity of buildings and infrastructure.
• Submit incident and hazard reports electronically or on paper.
• Be well presented and well-spoken with good IT skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Location: Roles located in North-West- Burnie & Devonport
• Roles available: Security Officer, Casual Opportunities available
• Plenty of sites available
• Full availability preferred
• Roles require a working with vulnerability license
• 10-12 hour shifts available
• Level 1-2

Wilson Security is expanding in TASMANIA securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the Whole of state. This growth has created new roles within our team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.

These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers. They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Availability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights/weekends (24/7 availability)
• General security duties, external and internal locks ups and MORE!
• Be a lateral thinker in solving issues that may arise
• Have an understanding of communication lines and chain of command
• Have an understanding of emergency and alarm response protocols including fire systems
• Protect and maintain security & integrity of building and infrastructure
• Submit electronic or paper incident and hazard reports
• Be well presented and well-spoken
• Have good IT skills
